What is .SNT file extension?
File created by Sticky Notes, a desktop note-taking program included with Windows Vista and Windows 7; saves one or more sticky notes that float on the desktop; stores each note's text, typeface, color, and position on the desktop; allows opened sticky notes to be saved even if the user logs out of Windows and back in again.
By default, SNT files are not associated with Sticky Notes in Windows Vista and Windows 7. If you would like to associate them with Sticky Notes, follow these steps:
Right click on the Sticky.snt file in Windows Vista or the StickyNotes.snt in Windows 7 and choose "Open."
Choose "Select a program from a list of installed programs."
From the next dialog screen, choose the Browse... button and then select the file StikyNot.exe from the C:\Windows\System32\ directory.
SNT files are stored in the following directory: C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Sticky Notes\.
NOTE: SNT files are not compatible between Windows Vista and Windows 7. You can open Sticky Notes in Windows by clicking the Windows Start button, typing "stikynot" in the search box, and then hitting enter.
